I'm in love with my Jeep
I'm in love with my Jeep. Not because of their reliability, but more so because of the places it has brought me and the memories that it stirs. Driving cross country 11 times, into 3 countries, and 2 bodies of water, let to the demise of my '97 Amethist (not purple) Grand Cherokee with a pink pin stripe. But I went back to the dealer ship for more and replaced it with an '03, this time in a more masculine hue.

It's a brotherhood
Jeep Cherokee (XJ) and Jeep Grand Cherokees (ZJ/WJ) are great machines that do extremely well off-roading. My personal jeeps are a 1989 Jeep Cherokee XJ Laredo and a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee ZJ Limited. I have taken both off-road and they perform extremely well in manoeuverability and off-road handling. The transfer cases (242 and 249 respectively) are both very good cases. For me owning a jeep is also more than just a vehicle, it's a botherhood. Jeepers wave to other jeeps as they pass and they are always willing to lend a hand. Also, Jeeps are upgradable, larger tires, lift kits, transfer case swaps, snorkles. Use your imagination and make your Jeep Yours.

The proof is in the mudding
A Jeep is a great thing for all the things it has been, can do, and doesn’t say about the driver. With a lineage that stretches back to WWII, I know this machine has been designed for serious service. I may never use it to cross a swollen river or race through a war zone, but not having to shovel out of the snow bank in the morning before pulling off the curb is one of the great joys one can know. Even better I can still get into a regular parking space downtown when I get to work. Lastly, the jeep doesn’t say I am a pretentious, ostentatious showoff who needs a super fast or expensive car; it just exudes a sexy image practicality from that boxy frame.
