Thank you Festival of V - In lush gardens you gave us the Pixies - LOUD - and Beck with puppets and spoons. There was corn on the cob - it ran out too soon, chai in the rain and awesome full moon (no logo on it - did you stick it on the dark side?) The seamless integration of the Virgin brand was impressive, convenient and mildly disconcerting. Virgin Blue’s package deal from Melbourne including accom/tickets/flights made everything so easy - except leaving - MORE TAXIS NEXT TIME so we don’t have to spend the hard-earned bribing taxi drivers... But the music’s what matters and that’s why I LOVE FESTIVAL OF V.

In the same way that I loved MTV as a kid

I never knew it was possible to love a cell phone company like this — until I met Virgin Mobile. No longer kept in thrall to a behemoth of a company that didn’t care about me, I became free! and happy! I am in love. That VM loves music as much as I do is clear — not just from the ads, from the commercials, from the VirginXtras and the ringtones, but from the entire texture of the company. It is so much more than just another cell phone provider. I love them in the same way that I loved MTV as a kid, in the same way that I loved my first boyfriend.
