It inspires
Not only the National Team, but Brazilian soccer is a Lovemark. I guess that the Brazilian National Team is such a Lovemark that it has given Brazilian soccer as a whole its Lovemark status, as an extension. It inspires boys all around the world to play soccer and it is definitely a career dream in Brazil to become a succesful soccer player.

An institution, or a religion
As I was born Brazilian, and since I can remember I support the National Team. Every kid in Brazil dreams of wearing the yellow shirt. For us, it's more than just a team: it's an institution, or a religion, I don't know. Every Brazilian on earth feels like the "Selecao" - it's a bit like his property or something. And if you're a Brazilian who lives abroad, away from home, it's the biggest flag of identification you can have with your country. Besides, which other Lovemark is capable of shutting down banks, schools and stores when playing a World Cup game?? Pra frente Brasil!!!

Mystery of the past
This team evokes the mystery of the past, especially the 1970s heroes. It's an emotional rollercoaster-type love affair for the nation whenever they play. They play a beautiful game in the most beautiful way. Everybody’s second team at the World Cup. The Nike Airport Ad featuring the Brazilian Football Team is my all-time favorite.
