Standing out from the rest
After a lifetime of having vege peelers not peel or get clogged up or slip off and take a bit of fingernail with it, I have at last found the definitive tool! At first I gave credit to the clever shopper who searched it out - catering genius Ruth Pretty. Then I found a subtle(what else) trade name engraved in black on black on the magic tool: Messermeister. A comfortable grip handle and a well-angled blade. And the blade! Perhaps an inspiration or maybe years of research; whatever the route it took, it is the blade that makes this tool stand out from the rest. Of course it takes potatoes in its stride, and it will peel a pumpkin or a tomato. They are not cheap but it's worth it.
