His work a legacy
I don't like to vote many human beings as Lovemarks because I really feel don't feel like most of the ones nominated are at all. But Chaplin...he has become one. He is one of these individuals because his name is a persona and his work a legacy.

A popular comic actor
Look at his sad eyes...what do you see? It can be customary bowler or fanny step. But the main thing we all know him as the first real Lovemark in the movie world! You can ask anyone to name a popular comic actor and I am sure that more than 90% of all respondents will say "Charlie Chaplin." And most of all, we really LOVE him!

Because he is Charlie Chaplin…
He is a Lovemark because we have known him from our early childhood (watching animated cartoon where all key comic situations are from his movies) through all our life - in comedies, fiction movies. Charlie is cinema's first genius because in his movies he taught us life, love, truth, and made learning that fun and easy. Because he is Charlie Chaplin…

Charlie Chaplin lives on
As an inspiration to many, the legacy of Charlie Chaplin lives on, some 27 years after his death in 1977. Film critics still regard some of his films as masterpieces despite being made at least 70 years ago. And Chaplin was incredibly talented and versatile. He not only financed and produced all his films but was the author, actor, director and soundtrack composer on them as well. He was also author of at least four books and an accomplished, self-taught musician playing violin and cello equally well left handed and right handed. Thrown to his own resources at the age of 10 following the death of his father and subsequent illness of his mother, Chaplin single-handedly transformed filmmaking. In so doing, he continues to touch people's lives.
